Northeast Surgical Specialists is proud to maintain a surgical facility that is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. This organization aims to improve the quality of medical and surgical care in ambulatory surgery facilities across the country in order to provide patients with the highest level of patient care and safety. Surgeons, legislators, state and national health agencies and patients acknowledge that AAAASF stands alone as the program setting the “Gold Standard” for quality patient care. We are honored to be recognized as an oral and maxillofacial surgical facility that meets their high standards of quality service.

In order to become an AAAASF Accredited surgical facility, all of our surgeons are required to:

• Have hospital privileges for any procedure that is performed

• Use anesthesia professionals for deeper levels of anesthesia

• Maintain a safe surgical environment, equipment, personnel and surgeon credentials through specific standards

• Maintain the same standards as hospital operating rooms

• Undergo rigorous peer review and data tracking covering over two million procedures

A vast majority of office-based surgical facilities are not accredited, operating independently of any peer review and inspection process. At Northeast Surgical Specialists, we understand the importance of providing our patients with the assurance of safety and quality in all aspects of their outpatient surgery experience. Drs.
